I am an active, outdoor loving, retired grandmother who Is enjoying
every day of her life. Although I am not a trained artist, I have
attended classes at Gulf Coast College as well as participated in
several workshops in the area. I have worked in acrylic, oil, charcoal,
pastel and watercolor. My art has been shown at Gadsden Art Center
in Quincy, Lemoyne Art Gallery in Tallahassee as well as the Center for
Culture and Art in Apalachicola, FL. Living in the most beautiful part of
the world offers me the opportunity to choose many and varied
subjects to paint. I especially enjoy painting wildlife that is indigenous
to this area.
I am an active member of the Carrabelle Artist Association and am
proud to be part of this group. I believe that any success I have attained
as an artist Is directly related to my association with this organization.
in the winter months, our membership swells to 40+ when our “snow blrds”
are here but in the summer it drops to around 20. We have several workshops
during the year and offer non-members an opportunity to participate for a
small fee. We are also involved in encouraging art appreciation for students
in the Franklin County School System.
